Srinagar, Aug. 28 -- Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today said that he will sit with officials to assess what measures were taken after the devastating 2014 floods, cautioning that even two days of heavy rainfall had brought the Valley close to a major crisis.

"God saved us this time. If it had rained for another day or two, we would have faced a lot of difficulty. The water has started to recede now, though it takes more time here than in Jammu. But we have come out of this danger," Omar told reporters in Srinagar.

The Chief Minister said the situation in the last three to four days highlighted the need for a serious review of post-2014 flood management works.
