Nagpur/Amravati, July 25 -- The Chief Justice of India Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai today stated unequivocally that he will not accept any government post after his retirement from the highest judicial office in the country.
He made this strong and personal statement during his visit to his native village Darapur in Daryapur taluka of Amravati district of Maharashtra.
While addressing a special family felicitation ceremony organized in Darapur, Justice Gavai said, "Darapur is not just a village, it is a symbol of unity.
"I have firmly decided that once I retire from the Supreme Court, I will not take up any government position. I want to spend more time with my roots here in Darapur and also in Amravati and Nagpur."
