Aizawl, July 28 -- A woman from Aizawl has admitted to the murder of her husband after being arrested in connection with his suspicious death on Sunday.
The victim, Lalchhuanawma (39), was found hanging in the couple's rented house in Mission Vengthlang, initially believed to be a suicide. However, after further investigation and a complaint
from the victim's relatives, the case was reclassified as a homicide.
The police detained Lalchhuanawma's wife, Lalremruati, along with a 28-year-old man from Lawngtlai district, suspected of having an affair with her. After questioning, the man was released, with police finding no evidence linking him to the crime. Lalremruati, however, reportedly confessed that she had killed her husband alone.
