Shimla, Feb. 24 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a major spell of rain and snowfall in Himachal Pradesh due to two active western disturbances over the next few days.

Starting tomorrow, heavy snowfall is expected in higher reaches, while mid and lower hills may experience light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and strong winds.

The wet spell is likely to continue for three days, potentially causing disruptions in vehicular movement, especially in high-altitude areas. Fog and low visibility conditions may also impact traffic along major rivers and dams.
