New Delhi, Aug. 9 -- Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh today questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the abrupt halt of Operation Sindoor, in light of revelations by Air Chief Marshal AP Singh that India had shot down at least five Pakistani aircraft.
"In view of the new revelations made by the Air Chief Marshal today, it becomes all the more shocking why the PM suddenly stopped Operation Sindoor," Ramesh said.
"Where did the pressure on the PM come from, and why did he capitulate so very soon?" the Rajya Sabha MP asked.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi too questioned why Operation Sindoor was abruptly ended.
