Jammu, June 20 -- Stating that war is not a solution and expressing concerns over rising Iran-Israel tensions, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Friday questioned why Israel has targeted Iran.
He said that Israel's actions are surprising as it had a few months back stated that Iran does not have any nuclear programme.
"Iran has not done anything wrong and why Israel has targeted it," Abdullah told the media after inaugurating the Public Outreach 'Raabita' Office.
"When it was already clear that Iran does not have any nuclear programme, so why Israel has targeted it?" he said.
"War is no solution and better that it ends at the earliest," he said and also expressed concern for the safety of stranded Indian students.
