Bengaluru, July 8 -- The Bike Taxi Association today urged the Karnataka government to immediately implement the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) Aggregator Guidelines 2020, warning that delay and inaction have put the livelihoods of over six lakh families at risk across the state.

Speaking at a press interaction, Association president Adi Narayanan stressed that the Motor Vehicles Aggregator Guidelines, issued by MoRTH in 2020, clearly empower state governments to permit the use of non-transport vehicles (white-board bikes) for passenger services through aggregators. "All we are asking is for Karnataka to enforce what the Centre has already approved," he said.
