Lucknow, Oct. 15 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today warned that anyone attempting to disrupt Diwali celebrations in the state will end up behind bars.
"This is not a government that surrenders to rioters. Anyone attempting to disrupt the festival of joy will end up behind bars," he warned, while asserting that all festivals over the past eight years - from Holi, Diwali, Eid, to Christmas and Guru Parva - have been celebrated in peace, harmony, and enthusiasm.
The Chief Minister distributed gas cylinder refill subsidies under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, terming it a Diwali gift for poor families.
