Hyderabad, May 18 -- The LV Prasad Eye Institute (LVPEI) successfully organised the seventh edition of its flagship 'WHITATHON' run on Sunday to raise awareness about Retinoblastoma, a rare and life-threatening eye cancer affecting children, and to generate funds for its treatment.
Held in observance of World Retinoblastoma Awareness Week (May 11-17), the 10K run was flagged off by Telangana Director General of Disaster Response and Fire Services, Y Nagi Reddy, at T-Works, Raidurgam.
Over 1,500 participants joined the run, which also included 5K and 3K segments flagged off by key sponsors.
