London, Aug. 28 -- Chris Columbus, the filmmaker who inaugurated the cinematic journey of Harry Potter with "The Sorcerer's Stone" (2001) and "The Chamber of Secrets" (2002), has voiced scepticism over HBO's ambitious reboot of J.K. Rowling's beloved saga.

"I looked online and there are photographs of Nick Frost as Hagrid with the new Harry Potter," Columbus told The Rest is Entertainment podcast.

"And he's wearing the same costume that we designed for Hagrid. Part of me was like: 'What's the point?' I thought everything [on the HBO show], the costumes and everything,g was going to be different.
