Chennai, Feb. 24 -- After a long gap, many parts of Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal
are likely to get rains from February 27 to March one.
Regional Meteorological Director, Chennai, Director, S.Balachandran told reporters here on
Monday that as per numerical model guidance by numerical models, a wet spell is likely over
Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during February 27 to March 2.
Several parts of Tamil Nadu has been experiencing intense heat wave conditions during the
last couple of weeks with a rise in mercury level by 2-3 deg C, sigalling the onset of the peak
summer, witnessed normally during March to June/July.
