Ahmedabad, Oct. 24 -- Western Railway General Manager Vivek Kumar Gupta reviewed preparations at various railway stations in Ahmedabad today ahead of the upcoming Chhath Puja, ensuring smooth operations amid the festive surge in passenger traffic.

Speaking about the current situation, Gupta said, "Passenger movement on the railways has risen sharply as people are travelling extensively for Diwali and the upcoming Chhath Puja. Around 12,000 extra trains will be operated nationwide, and I am personally reviewing the holding areas prepared for passengers.
