New Delhi, Feb. 18 -- The national capital experienced light rainfall in the early hours of Wednesday as an active Western Disturbance swept across northwest India, altering weather conditions in Delhi and neighbouring states. The early morning showers brought a noticeable chill to the air, accompanied by partly cloudy skies and intermittent gusty winds in several parts of the city.

According to the latest update from the India Meteorological Department (IMD), unstable weather is expected to persist over parts of north and central India for the next 24 hours. The department has indicated the likelihood of isolated thunderstorms, lightning, gusty winds and even hailstorm activity in certain regions.
