Kolkata, Dec. 29 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday denied allegations that she pursues appeasement politics, saying "I am truly a secular". Her comment comes after she laid the foundation stone of "Durga Angan', billed to be biggest such in the world, in the eastern party of the city at New Town.

"Many people blame me for appeasement politics. I am a true secularist. I believe in the peaceful coexistence of all religions," the TMC supremo said.

She further said, " You can't show me a religion whose celebrations I don't attend. I cover my head when I visit Gurdwaras. Why do you complain when I attend Rozas? Every religion has its cultural practices. How can I disregard any of them?"Some people are looting and vandaliz...
