Well Marked Low Pressure to intensify into Depression, TN to get hevy rains

Chennai, Oct. 22 -- The Well Marked Low Pressure Area over theBay willintensify ion to a Depression, promising more rains in several parts of TamilNadu.

Met office sources today said it is unlikely to becaome a Cyclone and was likelyto cross North Tamil Nadu coast as a Depression by tomorrow.

It said the Well Marked Low Pressure area over the southwest Bay of Bengaloff Tamil Nadu coast moved nearly northwestwards and lay over the sameregion at 0830 hrs today.

While moving northwestwards, there is a possibility for the intensification ofthe system into a Depression over southwest and adjoining westcentral Bayof Bengal off north Tamil Nadu and south Andhra Pradesh coasts during thenext 12 hours.
