Chennai, Oct. 22 -- In a major relief to the people of this teeming megapolis,the Met office today afternoon announced that the Well Marked Low Pressurearea over the Bay of Bengal off Tamil Nadu coast would not intensify into aDepression as forecasted earlier.
Regional Meterological Centre, Chennai, Director Ms Amudha said the systemwould not intensify into a Depression.
It would cross the coast most likely near North TN coast by tomorrow as aWell Marked Low Pressure.
However, several parts of Tamil Nadu would receive rainfall for the next sixto seven days.
Stating that the Northeast Monsoon has been very active over Tamil Nadu,she said the Well marked low pressure area over southwest Bay of Bengaloff Tamil Nadu coast moved nearly north...
