New Delhi, Sept. 18 -- A new global report has warned that climate-driven health risks could cost the world economy at least USD 1.5 trillion in lost productivity by 2050, painting a grim picture of an economy already grappling with the escalating toll of climate-related illnesses and extreme weather events.

Released by the World Economic Forum (WEF) today, the report 'Building economic resilience to the health impacts of climate change,' underscores the growing vulnerabilities in critical sectors such as food and agriculture, the built environment, and health and healthcare, calling for urgent and coordinated action to safeguard public health and economic stability.
