Srinagar, April 17 -- The Meteorological Department has issued a weather advisory for Jammu and Kashmir, forecasting an active western disturbance likely to affect the Union Territory and its adjoining areas from April 18 to 20.
The MeT said the system is likely to bring widespread light to moderate rain and snowfall, particularly in higher reaches, with the peak activity expected between the night of April 18 and late night of April 19.
Under the influence of this system, heavy rain and snow are likely over the Pir Panjal range in Jammu Division and the middle and higher reaches of Kashmir Division.
