New Delhi, April 21 -- The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor, Sanjay Malhotra, on Tuesday said the central bank is adopting a cautious "wait-and-watch" approach amid the ongoing Middle East crisis, emphasising the need for policy flexibility in an uncertain global environment.

""We are therefore in wait and watch mode now.Moreover, we have been maintaining a neutral stance for the last few policy cycles. It preserves the flexibility to respond as the inflation-growth dynamics evolve," he said.
