Kolkata, Nov. 24 -- The West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) has disqualified 300 candidates who had been shortlisted for interviews for higher secondary teaching posts after discovering that they submitted forged experience certificates to claim the 10-mark weightage awarded for prior teaching experience.
According to WBSSC officials, several of these candidates also submitted fake birth certificates and academic mark sheets.
The forgeries were detected during a scrutiny and verification drive that began on November 18, during which authorities examined documents related to experience, age, and academic qualifications.
