Patna, Jan. 16 -- Bihar Agriculture Minister Ramkripal Yadav today said that water harvesting, water conservation and land conservation have been an integral part of India's lifestyle for centuries.
Addressing the state-level Watershed Festival-2026, the minister said that without water existence of humans, nature and civilisation is impossible.
He said India is a land of rivers and Bihar is a state defined by rivers. In Indian cultural traditions rivers, ponds, wells, trees and the earth have been revered. The philosophy based on the five elements earth, water, air, fire and sky, underscores that protecting nature is part of the country's cultural heritage.
