Shimla, April 5 -- Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri directed officials of the Jal Shakti Department to expedite work on ongoing drinking water and irrigation projects in Una district of Himachal Pradesh, so that people can benefit from the facilities within the stipulated time.
Reviewing the progress of developmental schemes of the department in Una on Sunday, Agnihotri said projects worth around Rs 1,000 crore related to drinking water supply and irrigation are currently under execution in the district.
Of this, works worth approximately Rs 550-600 crore pertain to drinking water supply schemes, while irrigation projects account for about Rs 350-400 crore.
