Srinagar, Jan. 12 -- Srinagar was warmer than Jammu City on Monday as day temperatures across Jammu and Kashmir showed a contrasting trend, with Jammu recording a maximum of just 9.6degC - lower than most parts of the Valley, officials said.
According to the meteorological department, Srinagar registered a high of 12.4degC, while Qazigund recorded 13.9degC. Pahalgam and Kupwara settled at 10.8degC and 10.7degC respectively, and Kokernag at 11.5degC.
Meanwhile, minimum temperatures across the Valley saw a slight improvement last night, though Kashmir continued to reel under intense cold conditions, officials added.
