Wardha, Nov. 15 -- In a significant crackdown, Wardha police have uncovered a home-based fake currency printing operation, seizing counterfeit notes worth Rs 4 lakh and arresting three suspects.
The operation, reportedly run from a house in the Gondplot area near Kejaji Chowk, came to light after Malegaon police detained two men identified as Dhanraj Dhote and Rahul Ambatkar, residents of the Karla area. Both are set to be handed over to Wardha authorities.
According to police the main accused, Ishwar Lalsing Yadav, remains at large. During the raid, officers recovered 144 counterfeit Rs 500 notes, along with a printer, wooden frames, glass sheets, ink bottles and other materials used in the operation. A minor present at the premises was ...
