Chhapra, April 25 -- A ward councillor of town panchayat was stabbed to death allegedly by his neighbours in the Manjhi police station area in Bihar's Saran district late Friday night, police said.

Police said on Saturday that the deceased has been identified as Raja Thakur (27), a councillor of Ward No. 09 and a resident of Godhapar village. He was making arrangements, including setting up tents outside his house for a ceremony scheduled for Saturday when a dispute broke out with his neighbours.
