New Delhi, March 2 -- Operations at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) were significantly disrupted on Sunday as escalating tensions in West Asia led to the cancellation of around 100 international flights.

Both arrivals and departures were affected, leaving many passengers stranded for the second straight day.

According to airport officials, 62 outbound and 42 inbound international flights were called off by late evening.

Most cancellations were reportedly communicated in advance, with airlines informing passengers beforehand to prevent unnecessary travel to the airport.
