Gorakhpur, April 5 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday directed the administration and police officials to take urgent measures to protect Rabi crops from fire incidents and said that the welfare of farmers is paramount.

While presiding over a meeting with officials in Gorakhpur, the CM stressed the need for swift action in case of a fire. He directed that fires be controlled immediately upon detection and that, in addition to existing fire stations, seasonal fire stations should remain operational around the clock as per regional requirements.
