New Delhi, April 1 -- The Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2025 will be taken up for consideration and passage in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said.

He alleged that the opposition is doing "appeasement politics" on the Bill.

Speaking at a press conference here on Tuesday, Rijiju, said it has been decided to have eight hours of discussion in the lower house on the Bill.

He added that during the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting, it has been agreed that the time of the discussion may be increased.

The Minister said the appropriate time for the Bill's introduction will be decided after consultations within the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) and discussion with the Speaker.
