New Delhi, Dec. 13 -- Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Friday said her government is pushing ahead with an accelerated plan to construct wall-to-wall roads across the capital in an effort to bring down dust pollution, one of the city's most persistent environmental challenges.
During a visit to the Shalimar Bagh Assembly Constituency, she said MLAs have been provided "substantial funds running into several crores" to ensure road construction and repair work faces no delays.
Gupta emphasised that while the government is investing heavily in infrastructural improvements, long-term pollution control is only possible when citizens actively participate.
