Kannur, Sept. 19 -- Hundreds of people from all walks of life, including women and children, participated in the 'Community Walk Against Drugs', led by Ramesh Chennithala under the banner of Proud Kerala's Walkathon, held in Kannur town today.
Kannur Bishop Alex Vadakkumhala flagged off the walk from Vilakkumthara Maithanam at 6:30 am.
In his address, Bishop Alex said the people of Kerala must unite against drug addiction, which is destroying the younger generation.
He also said the creative potential of an entire generation is being lost to this menace and the fight must begin at every home.
