Chennai, July 31 -- Indicating the increasing closeness between the ruling DMK and the Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK), a former constituent of the AIADMK-led alliance, DMDK general secretary Premalatha Vijayakanth called on Chief Minister MK Stalin at his residence in the city today.
"It is a courtesy call to personally enquire about the health of the Chief Minister, who had returned from hospital," Premalatha, who is DMDK general secretary, told reporters, adding "We did not talk politics."
"We also wanted to express our gratitude to the Chief Minister for the state government's support when the going was tough for our family. And, there is no political agenda," she explained.
