Jammu, July 16 -- Reacting to a joint letter written by the Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi and Congress national president, Mallikarjun Kharge to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding restoration of statehood to the Jammu and Kashmir, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today said that he was waiting for this day when opposition raises their voice in the Parliament and in Delhi.

Notably, LoP in the Rajya Sabha and national president of the Congress party, Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi jointly wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging the government to bring legislation in the upcoming Monsoon session of Parliament to grant full statehood to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
