New Delhi, Aug. 28 -- As the last date of withdrawal of nominations for the key Vice Presidential polls endedon August 25, the contest is open with just two candidates in fray--Maharashtra Governor C P Radhakrishnan CPR),a native of Tamil Nadu, of BJP-led NDA and Mr B Sudershan Reddy (BSR) of the Opposition Congress-led INDIABloc contesting for the post.

The polling is schedueld on September nine and going by the majority of the NDA and its allies in Lok Sabha andwith the support of allies in Rajya Sabha, Mr CPR is expected to sail through as the INDI Bloc will find it difficultto get the requisite numbers.
