Chennai, Jan. 31 -- Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar and Union Home Minister
Amit Shah arrived here on Friday evening from New Delhi on a brief visit to the city.
Mr Dhankar was received at the airport by Tamil Nadu Governor R Ravi, Health
Minister Ma.Subramanian, DMK MP Trichy N Siva, Greater Chennai Corporation
Mayor R Priya, Chief Secretary N.Muruganandam, among others.
About an hour later, Mr Amit Shah arrived from Delhi and was received at the airport
by senior BJP leaders.
Later, he left for Mahabalipuram, about 55 km from here by road, to attend the wedding
of former Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu's family member, after which he will leave
for New Delhi.
