Puducherry, Dec. 29 -- Vice-President C. P. Radhakrishnan arrived in Puducherry on Monday as part of his two day tour duringwhich he would attend various events in Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala and Rameswaram in Tamil Nadu.
This is his maiden visit to Puducherry after assuming office and was accorded a warm welcome along with a Guard of Honour.
He was received at Puducherry Airport byLt. Governor K. Kailashnathan, Chief Minister N. Rangasamy, and other dignitaries.
Later, Mr Radhakrishnan, was accorded a civic reception.
Recalling his earlier tenure as Lt Governor of Puducherry, Mr Radhakrishnan described the union Territory as a land of unique civilisational, cultural, and spiritual significance.
