Chennai, June 15 -- Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar arrived ere on Sunday on a three-day visit to Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.
He was received at the Chennai airport by Governor R N Ravi, Minister for Adi Dravidar and Welfare M Mathiventhan, Chennai Mayor Ms R Priya, DMK MPs N R Ilango and Ms Kanimozhi Somu and Chief Secretary N Muruganandam.
Later, he drove down to Raj Bhavan for an overnight stay.
He would visit Puducherry on Tuesday.
Mr Dhankar, who is also Chancellor of Pondicherry University, will be visiting the premises at
10.00 AM on June 17 to interact with students, faculty and staff members at Jawaharlal Nehru Auditorium, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Administrative Building.
