Texas City, June 2 -- Jonathan Joss, best known for voicing John Redcorn in the acclaimed animated series 'King of the Hill', died at the age of 59 after being fatally shot during an alleged dispute with a neighbour.
Authorities confirmed that Joss was shot and killed on the evening of Sunday, June 1.
Responding to reports of a shooting in progress around 7 pm, authorities found Joss lying near a roadway.
Despite the administration of immediate life-saving efforts, paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
The alleged assailant, 56-year-old Sigfredo Alvarez Cejam, reportedly fled the vicinity in a vehicle but was apprehended shortly thereafter and the investigation is still ongoing, reports PEOPLE.
