Pune, July 30 -- The Vaikunthbhai Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management (VAMNICOM) has become the first institution in the country to receive recognition from Tribhuvan Cooperative University (TSU).
Currently, the institute runs four long-term degree programs and six short-term skill-enhancement courses.
These courses will now be conducted under the umbrella of Tribhuvan University on behalf of VAMNICOM. Alongside traditional courses, programmes on the use of modern digital technologies in cooperatives will now be taught at the institute.
This will open up new career opportunities for youth, especially those from rural areas, said Murlidhar Mohol, Union Minister of State for Cooperation and Civil Aviation here today.
