Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 18 -- Aarsha Vidya Samajam will organise a special screening of noted filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri's film The Bengal Files at PVR Cinemas, Lulu Mall, tomorrow at 5.30 pm.

The screening, expected to be attended by several distinguished personalities, is aimed at revisiting the historical realities of India's Partition in 1947, which displaced nearly 20 million people and claimed about two million lives.

The organisers said the film highlights key historical events such as the Direct Action Day riots in Calcutta (August 16, 1946) and the subsequent Noakhali massacre, which hastened the acceptance of Partition.
