Bengaluru, Sept. 2 -- Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri has made a public appeal to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, urging her to allow the release of his upcoming film The Bengal Files in the state.

In a video addressed to the Chief Minister, Agnihotri expressed concern over political pressure and threats from theatre owners, which he claims have discouraged the screening of the film.

He said the trailer's release on August 16 was blocked, and a private screening was reportedly stopped by police. He also alleged that party workers had filed multiple FIRs against the team.
