New Delhi, Sept. 10 -- Soon after his return from the visit to flood-ravaged Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) late last night to deliberate on the unfolding situation in violence-hit Nepal.

The CCS meeting reviewed recent developments in Nepal amid reports of escalating violence, which has led to the loss of several lives, particularly among the youth. Expressing deep anguish, Modi appealed for calm and called on all citizens of Nepal to uphold peace and unity.
