New Delhi, Jan. 5 -- The Indian National Congress on Monday voiced strong concern over what it described as unilateral actions taken by the United States in Venezuela, warning that such moves violate established principles of international law and threaten global stability.

In a statement issued by its foreign affairs department, the Congress said the actions over the past 48 hours transgressed the United Nations Charter and several international treaties that form the foundation of the post-Second World War rules-based international order.
