Hyderabad, Aug. 27 -- Vinayaka Chaturthi, the festival marking the birth of Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed God of wisdom, is being celebrated with great devotion and grandeur across Telangana today.
In Hyderabad, the focal point of the 11-day festivities, numerous pandals with Ganesha idols of varying sizes and designs were set up across the city. The iconic Khairatabad Maha Ganapati was unveiled in the form of the 69-foot-tall Sri Viswasanthi Mahashakti Ganapati, commemorating the 71st anniversary of the celebration.
