Chennai, March 1 -- The SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) celebrated the National Science Day on Saturday highlighting the vision of Viksit Bharat and presenting DR APJ Abdul Kamal research award to scholars.
The event was aligned with the2026 theme, "Women in Science: Catalysing Viksit Bharat," highlighting the transformative role of women scientists and researchers in advancing India's vision of becoming a developed nation.
Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Mishra, Scientist-E, union Ministry of Earth Sciences, emphasised the importance of scientific innovation, interdisciplinary research, and inclusive participation in achieving sustainable national growth.
