Bengaluru, Sept. 8 -- The lathi charge on women devotees during a Ganesh idol immersion procession in Maddur has triggered a fresh political storm in Karnataka, with BJP State President Vijayendra Yediyurappa launching a blistering attack on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and the Congress government.
Vijayendra accused the ruling Congress of adopting an "anti-Hindu mindset," alleging that ever since the party came to power, Hindus have been subjected to repeated humiliation, their sentiments hurt, and cases filed against them, while anti-social elements are being shielded.
