Bengaluru, May 19 -- As Karnataka's Congress government celebrates the completion of two years in power, state BJP President Vijayendra Yediyurappa on Moday criticised the ruling party, alleging that the state has witnessed "zero development" and "rampant corruption" during this period.

"The people of Karnataka are laughing at the state Congress government," Vijayendra said. "In the last two years, the Congress regime has delivered absolutely no development. Corruption has become the norm in every department," he told reporters here.

He questioned what the Congress leadership, including Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, has achieved in these two years to warrant celebration.
