Vijayendra brands Moitra remark "lowest-order hate speech"

Bengaluru, Aug. 30 -- Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Mahua Moitra's alleged statement invoking violence against union Home Minister Amit Shah has triggered a political storm, with leaders across the ruling party and other quarters condemning the remark as a grave threat to democratic discourse.

BJP leader Vijendra Yediyurappa said the language used by members of the INDI Alliance, including Moitra, "has hit the lowest of the lows."He described the statement as "vile, hate-filled, and a dangerous incitement of violence that has no place in a democracy."
