Bengaluru, Feb. 24 -- BJP leader Vijayendra Yediyurappa on Monday launched a scathing attack on the Congress government in Karnataka, accusing it of misuing funds meant for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities, to fulfil its guarantee schemes, thereby sidelining development initiatives.

"Ever since the Congress government came to power, it has drained its coffers to implement vote bank-based projects, pushing development work to the sidelines.

The misappropriation of government corporation funds through illegal means to contest elections in favour of the Congress party, as exposed through the Valmiki Corporation, is now well-known,"Vijayendra alleged.
