Jammu, Jan. 30 -- Late Vijayan Kutty G of Border Roads Organisation (BRO) has been conferred with Shaurya Chakra, posthumously on the occasion of 76th Republic Day.
He was awarded Shaurya Chakra for his gallantry act during his posting with 110 RCC Road Construction Company, 31 BRTF and Project Sampark.
An official comminique said on Thursday, Vijayan Kutty G was born on May 20, 1975 in Kunnattoor Vill, Kollam District at Kerala.
He completed his education upto high School from Kadampanad (Kerala) and got enrolled in the
Border Roads Organisation on October 11, 1995 as a Pioneer. With his hard work and devotion to duty he got promoted to Operator Equipment Machinery (OEM) on March 3, 2005.
