Chennai, Dec. 6 -- Burying the ghost of the Karur stampede that claimed 41 lives and put the fledgling Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam on the backfoot, party president and film star Vijay is resuming his mass outreach from Puducherry on December 9.
But this time it will not be a roadshow and not the public meeting as usual. The Puducherry police have denied permission for roadshows as demanded by the TVK, citing security concerns in view of the Karur tragedy during the rally of Vijay on September 27. And this being the first outing of Vijay after that, Chief Minister N Rangasamy too had toed the police line despite top TVK functionaries meeting him twice.
